Supreme Cycles Owner Steve Brown

Steve Brown came down to work for a summer in November 1988 and found working on the northern beaches more enjoyable than suffering through gruelling races in north eastern France and southern Belgium. The Owner of Supreme Cycles since 1990. Steve has always been a road rider but is occasionally tempted to get out in the dirt with the guys and has competed in 12hr events as well as most of the well known Australian road races. Steve Rides a 2009 Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL2 with elctronic Shimano Dura-ace and a Avanti Blade. Most recently competed in the World Masters Games competing in the Road and Kriterum Races.

Steve At The Tour Down Under

Shop owner Steve Brown recently watched the start of the 2010 Tour Down Under in Adelaide. While Steve was in Adelaide he meet and rode with the whole of the Specialized sponsored Saxo Bank Pro Road Team. Steve also meet the founder of Specialized Bikes Mike Sinyard! Steves wife Louise also a keen road rider also meet and rode with Saxo Bank. Steve also saw the one and only Lance Armstrong, Cadel Evans and many other famous road riders. Supreme Cycles Manager Daniel Harris

Daniel Started working at Supreme Cycles in his teens, Daniel now in his 30 is the Supreme Cycles Manager. Daniel is MTBA trained bike mechanic. Daniel is also the shop's expert in suspension servicing & set up. Daniel has been extensively trained by Specialized & Avanti & has a vast knowledge of their products. Daniel started Cycling as a road & track rider, over time this moved onto Cross country mountain biking then onto downhill mountain biking. Daniel competes in cross country and useed to race track bikes. Daniel has owned many bikes in the pass such as Specialized Bighitss, Specialized Demo 9s,Demo 8s and Demo 7s. Daniel now rides a Specialized Allez Comp road bike weekly & also Mountain Bikes on his Specialized S-works Enduro. Daniel also has an Avanti Pista Track bike.

Supreme Cycles Full Time Staff Matt Turner

Matt Has worked for Supreme Cycles for 4yrs now, Matt is an Avanti trained bike mechanic & is trained in Specialized products, he is also responsiable for the Supreme Cycles webpage.
Matt is a mad keen mountain biker who races Cross Country & Adventure Races, racing in events like the Ottwaway 100km race, Dirtworks 100km, BMC 100km, Mont 24hr, Katmandu Adv Race Series & any 8hr or 12hr he can find plus more. Matt has been lucky enough to ride Mountain Bikes All through NSW & VIC aswell as overseas in New Zealand, Spain And most recently In Canada completing a 6 week riding Trip through BC & Alberta Canda. Matt's Favorite Trails are BMC 100KM course (the whole thing), Lithgow State Forest, Ourimbah Cross country, Mt Stromolo Cross Country, Mystery DH Mt Cypress Canada, Oasis DH Rossland Canada, Dirt Merchant, Crank It up, Clown Shoes, Joyride, A Line & Schalyer all in Whistler Canada plus many more (there are to many to list).
Matt currently owns/rides a Small fleet of bikes including a Specialized Enduro Pro Carbon (6" All Mtn Bike), a Specialized Epic Expert(4" XC Bike), A Specialized Demo 8 (8" DH bike) and on the Road an Avanti Giro.

Supreme Cycles Mechanic Troy Rowell

Troy has worked for Supreme Cycles over 4yrs now. Troy is the shop resident mechanic and bike builder. Troy is keen and experienced mountain biker and he to rides a small fleet of bikes including a Specialized SX Trail 2 (6.6" Freeride bike), Specialized P2 Cro molly (dirt jump hardtail), Specialized Tarmac Expert (his unused road bike) & BRAND NEW! 2010 Specialized Demo 8 (8" DH bike of custom build). Troy is a very experienced DH racer & has been National downhill champion for Masters several times. Troy has also been lucky enough to ride his Mountain bikes all over Australia & he recently completed a trip to Canada riding at Whistler, Sun Peaks & Silverstar.

Matt's Canada Trip

In Late 2008 Matt went to Canada on what many mountain bikers dream off a mountain biking holiday around British Coluimbia Canada. Starting In Vancouver on the Nth Shore on the Mountains of Fromme, Cypress & Seymore, Matt & Good mates Mark Halpin & Steve Burns then moved onto Squamish, Whistler, Kamloops, Jasper, Canmore, Calgary, Golden, Fernie, Nelson, Rossland and then back to Nth Vancouver again covering over 4500km in a RV!
The Countryside and the riding in Canada is awesome unlike anything the best of Australia has to offer, All i can say is if you can get there to ride do it you won't regret it!

Troy's 2010 Specialized Demo 8 2

Supreme Cycles Mechanic Troy became the first man in Australia to have a 2010 Specialized Demo 8. The 2010 Specialized Demo 8 has been revised with World Championship Series Winning Geometry, now with a 1.5" headtube and 1" lower B/B height the new Demo 8 is the ultimate DH race machine!!! Troy has built his Demo 8 up with very specific group of parts BOS Suspension, Shimano Saint Canks and Saint Brakes, Hope Pro 2 Hubs, Sram X.O, Maxxis High Roller Front Tyre, Maxxis Minon Rear Tyre, all this to create his ultimate DH machine.
